Crankshaft assembly (fits 3056 CAT) - OEM 1004034

A complete OEM quality crankshaft kit designed for Caterpillar 3056 engines. The crankshaft is made of high-grade forged steel, subjected to precise heat treatment (induction hardening of the journals), which ensures exceptional resistance to material fatigue and a long service life in demanding operating conditions. This is a comprehensive repair package, ready for installation during a major engine overhaul.

The kit includes:

  • Crankshaft: Brand new shaft with high-precision balancing.
  • Main bearing set: Set matched to standard journal dimensions (STD).
  • Connecting rod bearing set: High-strength bearings resistant to high unit pressures.
  • Thrust washer set: Components responsible for eliminating axial play of the shaft.

Workshop Technical Tip: Before installing the new crankshaft, it is absolutely essential to clean the oil galleries in the engine block. When installing bearings, use a specialized assembly lube to provide lubrication during the first "dry" start-up. Remember to tighten the connecting rod caps and main bearing supports according to the sequence and torque specified in the CAT service manual – improper torque is the most common cause of new bearing seizure.
