Workshop Technical Tip: Before replacing the pump, make sure the problem is not a blocked fuel filter or water separator - this is the most common issue mistaken for pump failure. Also check the condition of the pump's fuse and relay, and the voltage at the connector (should read 24V). When fitting the new pump, ensure correct polarity and leak-free fuel connections. After replacement, bleed the fuel system per the ISUZU/JCB procedure before attempting to start - air in the system will prevent correct ignition. Check all connections for leaks after starting the engine.
