The kit is universal – it can be successfully used to seal both the front and rear steering cylinders. Workshop Technical Advice: Before installing new seals, carefully clean and degrease the entire interior of the cylinder and the surface of the rod. Make sure there is no corrosion pitting or scratches on them, which could quickly damage the new sealing lip. Always use a little clean hydraulic oil for assembly – this will prevent dry running, make it easier to slide the elements in, and minimize the risk of them folding over. After mounting the cylinder in the machine, perform several full steering wheel movements from lock to lock to thoroughly bleed the system before starting work under load.
