Workshop Tip: Rebuilding the massive dipper cylinder in JS series excavators requires not only appropriate workshop facilities but also absolute cleanliness. Before disassembling the gland, thoroughly clean the outside of the cylinder. After dismantling the cylinder, strictly verify the condition of the 100mm piston rod's chrome plating and the cylinder's internal bore. Any deep scratches, corrosion pitting, or impact damage will cause immediate damage to the new seal kit. During assembly, be careful not to shear the lips of the new seals on the threads, and lubricate all components generously with clean hydraulic oil before reassembly.
