Before disassembling the massive 160 mm cylinder, ensure proper arm support and a safe workshop environment. After dismantling the cylinder, strictly verify the condition of the cylinder bore and the chrome plating of the 80 mm piston rod. Any pitting, scratches, or impacts will lead to the rapid destruction of the new seal. To facilitate the installation of hard piston seals, it is recommended to gently soften them in hot water or hot hydraulic oil, which will prevent them from cracking during stretching. Before reassembly, generously lubricate all components with clean oil.
