The coil operates on 12V DC and is equipped with a waterproof Deutsch (DT04-2P) connector featuring a built-in bidirectional Zener diode, which protects the electrical system from voltage spikes. Technical Advice (Burnout Warning!): The most common cause of solenoid coil failure is not a short circuit, but overheating. Never connect power to a coil unless it is fully installed onto the metal valve stem! The valve stem acts as a heat sink, drawing heat away from the coil. Without it, the coil will heat up rapidly and burn out within less than a minute. If a newly replaced coil becomes unnaturally hot during operation, check the hydraulic valve cartridge itself. A jammed spool (often caused by debris in the hydraulic oil) will force the coil to work under maximum overload, leading to premature failure.
