Workshop Tip: Working on sealing control valve sections requires extreme caution. Before loosening the tie rods, thoroughly wash the entire outer body of the valve – the slightest dirt falling into the oil passages can scratch the spools. When separating the individual "slices", be careful not to lose the return springs and small locating elements. Install all O-rings from the kit wet, gently moistening them with clean hydraulic oil. Tighten the valve tie rods evenly in a cross pattern with a torque wrench – over-tightening the threads will lead to deformation of the section body and jamming of the control spools.
