Workshop Tip: Joystick control faults, such as delayed response to hand movements, sticking functions, or arm jerking, very often result from damage to the coils themselves (burnout, short circuit) or sticking spools in the pilot valve. Before replacing, check the coil resistance and the condition of the electrical wiring plugs. Remember that pilot system valves are extremely sensitive to micro-contamination in the oil. When replacing this component, it is absolutely essential to simultaneously replace the pilot (servo) system filter and assess the cleanliness of the hydraulic oil to prevent the new valve from becoming blocked immediately.
