Workshop Technical Advice: When installing a perforated bushing, alignment is critical. If the housing has a specific grease channel, ensure that the lubrication holes in the bushing perfectly align with it. Misalignment can block the flow of fresh grease, causing the joint to work dry and leading to rapid, catastrophic wear of the pin and bushing. Due to its relatively thin walls, never use a direct hammer blow to install it; always use a suitable press or a properly sized flat drift tool to press it in evenly without deforming the edges.
