JCB Axle Brake Seal (Square Cut) - ORIGINAL

Original brake piston sealing ring dedicated to JCB drive axles. This seal features a specific square cross-section (square ring), which is critical for the proper operation of the "wet" brake mechanism.

Specifications and Technical Features:

  • Profile: Square-cut. The specific geometry prevents the seal from twisting in its groove during piston travel.
  • Material: High-quality elastomer resistant to aggressive additives found in HP Gear Oils and high temperatures generated during braking.

Technical Advice: Square-cut seals act as a return spring for the brake piston (through slight deformation during extension). Hardening or surface damage to these seals is the most common cause of "dragging" brakes or internal leaks within the axle. When replacing seals, it is always recommended to clean the housing grooves and inspect the piston surface for pitting. Before installation, lubricate the seal with clean brake fluid or the gear oil used in the specific machine.
