Workshop Technical Tip: The most important factor determining the lifespan of a new final drive is the cleanliness of the hydraulic system and the clear flow of the case drain line. Before installation, make sure no metal debris from the old, failed unit remains in the lines. Remember to check the condition of the drive sprocket - excessively worn teeth will cause vibration and premature bearing wear in the new final drive. The first oil change in the gear section should take place after approximately 50-100 hours of operation (the run-in period). WARNING: this assembly weighs 220 kg - use a suitable hoist or crane for installation, never lift it by hand.
