Technical Advice: When replacing the axle flange, it is strictly recommended to install a new oil seal (simmering) and a new flange nut. An old nut may not hold the required tightening torque, which risks loosening the flange and destroying the pinion shaft splines. Before seating the flange, check the surface cooperating with the seal—any contaminants can lead to rapid oil leakage. Remember to maintain the correct tightening torque according to the JCB service manual.
