Technical Advice: It is recommended to use a new nut during every steering knuckle repair. An old nut, subjected to repeated loads and deformations, loses its securing properties. Remember to tighten the nut with the appropriate torque using a torque wrench – insufficient tightening will cause play and rapid bearing wear, while over-tightening can lead to kingpin breakage or system seizure. After installation, do not forget to secure the nut (if the design requires it) and replenish the grease in the kingpin assembly.
