Workshop Technical Tip: Before installing the new gasket, ensure that the contact surfaces of the cover and the gearbox housing are perfectly clean and degreased. Any residues of the old sealing material can cause leaks under oil pressure. When tightening the cover bolts, it is recommended to use a torque wrench and follow a "cross-pattern" (star-pattern) tightening sequence to ensure uniform pressure across the entire gasket circumference.
