JCB 4JJ1 Exhaust Valve Seat
Valve seat, designed for 4JJ1 engine heads installed in JCB excavators. This component provides the contact surface for the exhaust valve, ensuring a hermetic seal of the combustion chamber during the compression and power strokes. Made of a specialized alloy with high thermal and mechanical resistance, the seat effectively dissipates heat from the valve head to the cylinder head, preventing valve seat recession.

Technical Advice: Proper installation of valve seats in the 4JJ1 engine requires precision "shrink-fit" seating (cooling the seat in liquid nitrogen or a freezer while simultaneously heating the cylinder head). After pressing the seat, it is necessary to perform angular machining (milling) of the contact face and valve lapping to achieve full sealing, confirmed by a vacuum test. A worn or loose seat can lead to compression loss, and in the worst-case scenario, it may drop out, causing catastrophic damage to the piston and turbocharger.
