Workshop Tip: Replacing injector seals is a strictly required procedure every time an injector is removed from the cylinder head. Using old seals carries a huge risk of leaks, leading to pressure loss and the formation of hard carbon build-up (so-called "tar") that blocks the injector in its seat. Before seating the injector with a new seal, make sure that the seat in the cylinder head is perfectly cleaned of carbon deposits using special cutters or wire brushes.
