Description

JCB Hydraulic Adapter G3/8A - 7/8 UNF (M)

Hydraulic adator (nipple), used to connect components with different thread standards in JCB machinery. The adapter enables a transition from British Standard Parallel Pipe (BSPP) to American Unified Fine (UNF) thread, which is commonly used in control systems, cylinder supply lines, and control valves.

Technical Advice: During installation, pay close attention to the sealing method for the G 3/8" (BSPP) thread. It typically requires a bonded seal (metal-rubber washer) or an O-ring in the port, whereas the 7/8" UNF thread often uses a JIC seal (37° cone). Do not use Teflon (PTFE) tape on these types of hydraulic threads, as fragments may block solenoid valves in the system. Ensure you do not exceed the recommended tightening torque, as this could crack the control valve body.
