Any scratches, pitting, or chrome chipping on the ram rod will cause immediate damage to the new sealing lips. During installation, it is recommended to moisten the components with clean hydraulic oil to avoid mechanical damage when sliding in the piston. Maintain strict cleanliness of the workspace, as even minor contaminants can damage the cylinder bore and lead to repeat failure.
