JCB Differential Repair Kit - ORIGINAL
Complete set of internal components for the differential. This part constitutes the heart of the axle drive system. This assembly allows the wheels on the same axle to rotate at different speeds, which is essential when cornering, while ensuring an even distribution of torque to both axle shafts.
The kit includes:
- 4x Pinion gears (bevel gears): Precisely hardened gears that intermediate in power transmission.
- 2x Side gears: Mounted on the splines of the drive axle shafts.
- 2x Cross pins (shafts): Durable shafts serving as the rotation axis for the pinion gears.
- Complete set of thrust washers: Specialized spherical washers for the pinions and side gear washers, crucial for maintaining proper gear backlash.

Technical Advice: The most common symptom of differential wear is a metallic clunking when changing direction or "grinding" during turns. When replacing the pinions and side gears, **always use the new thrust washers** included in the kit – they are responsible for taking up play. Before installation, check the condition of the seats in the differential carrier. After the repair, the axle should be filled with fresh gear oil of the appropriate specification (e.g., with an LS additive if the axle has a limited-slip lock) to prevent immediate overheating of the new friction surfaces.
