JCB Wheel Hub Planetary Gear - ORIGINAL

Original planetary gear (pinion) for the wheel hub final drive. An element of the drive axle's final drive. It cooperates with the axle shaft sun gear and the toothed ring (ring gear), being responsible for reducing the rotational speed and significantly multiplying the torque transmitted to the machine's drive wheel.

  • Supreme material strength: Made of forged, deeply hardened, and carburized steel. This ensures maximum resistance to point pressure and tooth abrasion while transmitting massive loads in difficult terrain.

Technical Advice: Final drive planetary gears should exclusively be replaced in sets (usually 3 pieces per hub). Replacing only one damaged gear will cause an uneven distribution of forces and the instant destruction of the entire system. Along with the planetary gears, it is absolutely essential to replace the needle bearings on which they rotate, as well as the planetary pins if they show the slightest traces of wear or thermal discoloration. Also, remember to verify the condition of the ring gear and the sun gear on the axle shaft before filling the final drive with fresh oil.
