JCB Hydraulic Motor Shaft Seal (50x72x11.60mm) - 20/951603

High-quality oil seal for the hydraulic motor shaft (travel motor), designed for JCB crawler excavators. This component plays a key role in separating the hydraulic system from the planetary final drive gearbox. It prevents hydraulic oil leaks to the outside and keeps contaminants from entering the motor. Made of specialized compounds resistant to high back-pressures and variable operating temperatures, it guarantees tightness and protection of the drive components.

Workshop Technical Advice: When replacing the seal, carefully inspect the surface of the drive shaft at the contact point with the sealing lip. If a distinct groove (wear) is visible, a new seal alone may not ensure long-term tightness. Before installation, it is recommended to lightly lubricate the sealing lip with clean hydraulic oil to avoid damage during the first rotations of the shaft. It is also critical to check the permeability of the case drain (return line) from the hydraulic motor – excessive pressure within the motor housing is the most common cause of this seal being "blown out" or damaged.
