Before installing a new motor, you must **check the return line for obstructions**—a blocked line will cause the shaft seal to blow out immediately. After connecting the hydraulic lines but before full operation, **bleed the motor housing** by filling it with clean oil through the highest port to avoid piston seizure during the initial start-up.
