Workshop Technical Advice: When installing the complete travel drive, the correct connection of the case drain line is of critical importance. Blocking or incorrectly connecting this line will cause a rapid pressure increase inside the motor housing, leading to immediate seal failure. Before the initial start-up, ensure that the motor housing has been primed with clean hydraulic oil, and that the gearbox section (final drive) contains the correct amount of gear oil (e.g., 80W90). It is recommended to change the gear oil in the final drive after the first 50 operating hours to remove any metal filings from the break-in period.
