High-quality first reduction set designed for planetary gearboxes in JCB heavy-duty crawler excavators. This kit constitutes the first stage of speed reduction, transmitting drive from the input shaft to subsequent gear stages. Thanks to precision-engineered teeth and the use of high-hardness alloy steel, the set ensures smooth travel drive operation and is resistant to heavy overloads.

Workshop Technical Advice: The first reduction stage is most vulnerable to the effects of oil contamination. When replacing the set, it is absolutely essential to inspect the condition of the needle bearings and the pins on which the planetary gears are mounted. Even minimal play on the pins can cause gear misalignment and lead to rapid destruction. During final drive service, we recommend thoroughly flushing the housing interior to remove metal shavings and filling it with fresh gear oil of a viscosity consistent with the machine's technical documentation.
