JCB Final Drive Reduction Set (1st Stage) 23T 05/903825

Complete first reduction gear set (1st stage planetary gears) designed for JCB final drives. As a component of the planetary gearbox, it is responsible for the initial reduction of hydraulic motor RPM and the multiplication of torque transmitted to the travel system. Precision hardening of the planetary gear teeth guarantees high resistance to fatigue cracking and ensures smooth operation of the entire drive transmission.

Workshop Technical Advice: Damage to the first-stage planetary gears often manifests as characteristic grinding or "popping" noises in the final drive when starting to move. When replacing the reduction set, always inspect the condition of the needle bearings inside the planetary gears and the pins they operate on. Even slight play on the pin can lead to improper tooth engagement and rapid destruction of the new set. Before closing the final drive housing, ensure it has been thoroughly flushed of any metal shavings from the previous failure.
