JCB Left Steering Knuckle "A" - ORIGINAL
Original left steering axle knuckle. An element of the suspension and steering system. It is responsible for connecting the wheel to the drive axle, allowing the machine to steer smoothly, while simultaneously supporting the massive weight of the front of the vehicle and the working attachments (e.g., a full front bucket).
Technical Features:
- Massive casting: Made of high-quality material. It ensures maximum resistance to cracking and plastic deformation during impacts with obstacles or when working with heavy loads on uneven terrain.
- Precise socket machining: Factory-milled sockets for the kingpins (upper and lower) guarantee a perfect, tight fit of the spherical bearings. This prevents their rapid wear and the formation of dangerous play in the steering system.
- Proper geometry: Perfect maintenance of the kingpin inclination and caster angles reduces steering resistance and prevents the machine from "wandering" on the road.

Technical Advice: The necessity to replace the entire steering knuckle is most often the result of driving for a long time with worn kingpin bearings (the sockets in the knuckle wear into an oval shape) or a lack of regular lubrication. When installing a new part, it is absolutely necessary to use new pins and bearings, as well as to correctly adjust their preload using appropriate shim washers (according to the service manual). If the steering knuckle has been disassembled, it is worth taking the opportunity to check the condition of the axle shaft universal joints (U-joints) and replace the axle seal entering the axle housing.
