hardox grading bucket edge we offer guarantees the highest quality. The hardness value presented below was obtained from a single sample representing a given batch. Depending on the variability of manufacturing processes, individual pieces may show slightly higher or lower values, remaining within the expected range around the measured result.
Mounting Tip: Grading buckets require a perfectly straight edge to precisely clear topsoil and level the ground. Before welding the new cutting edge, completely remove the old, worn component and precisely level the bucket sides and bottom using an angle grinder. Due to the properties of HARDOX 500 steel, 16 mm thick sections should be welded using low-hydrogen methods (e.g., wire with argon shielding). Weld in short sequences (step-welding technique), alternating from the center of the edge towards its sides – this prevents localized overheating and distortion (warping) of the bucket lip.
