JCB Swing Gear Reduction O-ring (291.69 x 3.53 mm) - 05/903861

High-quality O-ring seal designed for the swing reduction mechanism in JCB machinery. This ring is mounted on the annulus gear housing, where it plays a key role in maintaining the tightness of the swing gearbox oil chamber. It protects the system from gear oil leaks and secures the interior of the reduction gear against the ingress of water and dust. Made from a rubber compound resistant to aging and the aggressive effects of EP (Extreme Pressure) additives contained in gear oils.

Workshop Technical Advice: Due to its large diameter and relatively small cross-section, this O-ring is prone to twisting during the seating of the annulus gear. Before installation, thoroughly clean the sealing groove and apply a thin layer of silicone grease or technical petroleum jelly to both the groove and the O-ring itself. This will prevent the seal from "pinching" when tightening the housing bolts. If you notice during disassembly that the old O-ring is hard and brittle, it indicates overheating of the swing drive—in such a case, it is worth checking the oil level and condition within the reduction gear.
