Workshop Technical Advice: Before installing the new seal, it is essential to check the condition of the shaft surface where the seal lip operates. If a distinct wear groove is visible, the seal alone may not be enough to maintain a complete leak-proof connection. During installation, it is recommended to lightly lubricate the sealing lip and the shaft surface with clean gear oil to prevent a "dry start" and premature rubber wear. Ensure the simmering is seated evenly, ideally using a dedicated mounting sleeve or driver.
